Student Clinical Opportunities for Premedical Experience (SCOPE) is a student-run internship program based out of Stanford University that places interns in the Santa Clara Valley Emergency Room.

Our mission is:

• To help the Santa Clara Valley Emergency Room improve healthcare delivery by improving efficiency, interpreting when possible, and by increasing both patient and physician satisfaction.
• To prepare and train Spanish and Vietnamese speakers to reach a high level of fluency in medical Spanish and Vietnamese.
• To learn by observation and glean the nature of medicine, enabling S.C.O.P.E. interns to make informed choices on a career in medicine.
• To practice the Five Principles of S.C.O.P.E.: Responsibility, Altruism, Teamwork, Initiative, Commitment
