Applications
Eligibility: Any student who is interested in medicine and is over the age of eighteen is eligible to apply.
A Note about Commitment: Please read the section on Program Information before completing the application. You may contact the Directors if you have any questions about any of the program's commitments. Keep in mind that the average S.C.O.P.E. member spends between 10-15 hours per week interning/interpreting with doctors, completing project team work, and attending meetings.
Although all are encouraged to apply, we are currently looking to hire students with the following interests / skills:
- Fluency in Spanish or Vietnamese
- Interest in the S.C.O.P.E. Research Team
- To read more about our 2007 Research Project, a collaboration between Stanford University and the Santa Clara Valley Emergency Department, please click here.
- Interest in Directorship
- We are looking for a freshman or sophomore who is looking for a program that they can really take on as their own. Ideally, this person will be looking to do more than just lead the largest premedical organization on campus. They will be looking to evolve as a premedical student, as a leader, and as a person through their experiences as the Director of SCOPE. The current directors will work with our new director for up to two quarters to prepare them for this leadership position, so no previous knowledge of the program is necessary. For more information, please read through the Directorship Application below, or contact the current S.C.O.P.E. directors.
Work Study: We are able to offer a paid internship to those who are eligible for work-study at Stanford University. In some cases, we are able to offer academic credit through Stanford University.
