Michelle graduated summa cum lade from University of California Santa Cruz in 2013 with a degree in Neuroscience. While at the university she participated in undergraduate research studying intracellular transport. She is now a nationally certified EMT and volunteers at the Rotacare Clinic and the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center emergency department through SCOPE. SCOPE provided both an invaluable connection to other medically interested students and exposure to direct patient care. She believes that her experiences and choices have led her in the direction of medicine, where she intends to serve as a leader and teacher in her field of practice.
